indiana jones can suck my dick.

people need to take it easy when it comes to watching movies. no movie ever, ever needs to be the greatest movie of all time. also, no movie is being made to replace your favorite movie, just like a movie, a lot if need be, and be done (and by done i mean buy all the shit with it's name on it you can). indiana jones and the kingdom of the crystal skull was awesome. really fucking awesome. all those movies are great. i'll watch anyone of them right fucking now. in the end watch it or don't but don't freak-the-fuck out. this is entertainment not someone's life. harrison ford is an old man and he will do what any old man should do, whatever the fuck he wants. i'm glad he acts like a goober a couple of times in ijkcs it shows he's not too serious. favorite movies are mostly bullshit anyway. it's a way of narrowing down your interests so they can be easily explained to a stranger. i like all kinds of movies and they only point to the fact that i like to watch things.

Although you are welcome to your opinion. The subject you speak of is open for many differing views. Its what makes film fun for me. Discussing our own views on what we see in the movies we watch.

For instance, I am still a little nervous about the Indiana Jones movie. Because of two reasons, as you might have already read. One, this is a franchise that defines part of my youth and I dont want to aging rebel-wanna-bes for fuck it up. Two, Harrison has had his balls cut off. Or he hasnt ever had any, i hope its the first.

anyway, the debate before, during and after a film is part of the fun of being a film critic. If you dont want to talk about it, dont. But dont assume its bad for the rest of us to do.

i guess i trying to say that it won't ruin anything. all the other movies will be just as good. i don't like any star wars movies made after 1994. the thx version was fine but i don't care about the special editions or the episode 1-3 shit. i just ignor them. i just think people should make a movie they like their own and not expect someone to make a movie for them. talking about movies is fine. talking about anything is great, but talking out your ass is not. opinions will change.

I think thats the difference. I dont mind a good discussion, but if it gets heated I will drop the subject. Having a conversation about differing views on film is nothing but a good thing. It helps you enjoy film more and if you are into making film, then it gives you some views on that as well.

theres a difference in arguing and positive discussion.
